What is a Precision Lift?

The Precision Lift is a specialized laser system combined with liposuction to treat the changes of aging and weight gain in the lower face and neck. The Precision Lift was created to fill a significant gap in the armamentarium of most plastic surgeons that exists between a formal facelift at one extreme, and a noninvasive skin tightening procedure, such as Ultherapy, at the other.

Are You Right for Precision Lift?

There are many patients in our practice who are not quite ready for a facelift but have more significant issues with jowling along the jawline or fullness in the neck and submental area (below the chin) that cannot be corrected by a noninvasive skin tightening procedure. An increasing number of such patients inhabit this formerly unaddressed “gray zone”, in which they are left to wait in a kind of limbo until they are ready for an actual facelift.

The Precision Lift now offers these patients a new option, and a different kind of minimally invasive surgical approach to facial rejuvenation. It utilizes the Cellulaze technology originally developed to treat cellulite and subcutaneous fat deposits in the legs, arms and torso, and adapts it to treat the stigmata of facial aging in a precise multi-stage process.

Precision Lift is performed under light intravenous sedation, without need for general anesthesia. The entire procedure usually takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Postoperative pain after the procedure is minimal, and the patient is usually up and walking around on the first night after The Precision Lift.

The Precision Lift is not a facelift. Nor is it a noninvasive skin tightening procedure. Nor is it simply a liposuction procedure. Rather, it is an entirely new class of procedure that combines many of the most clinically useful benefits of these other more standard techniques in a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure which minimizes postoperative discomfort and recovery time, while delivering aesthetic results previously only achievable with more aggressive open surgical procedures.
